Kohl's Ranch Stables will take you to the top of Turkey Mountain if you would like and see the ancient Aligator Junipers. Some of these trees are 750 years old we have been told by Arborest. To see about the rides just east of Payson go to

Willow Springs Lake was created in 1966 by the Arizona Game and Fish Department as a trout fishing lake. Ponderosa pines surround it. Willow Springs Lake is stocked with trout from Spring through Fall.
Boats with motors up to 10 hp are permitted on this lake. There is no fee for day use or to launch a boat. Be sure to buy your fishing license.
No dispersed camping is allowed within 1/2 mile of the lake, but Sinkhole Campground is very close to the lake.
